{teacher appreciation poem and gift}

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week at the girls school. Everyday we are making something fun to give to the girls teachers. The room mom for each class sent out a letter and assigned certain things for certain days. For example, on Monday bring in her favorite fruit, Tuesday wear her favorite color, etc. At our house we are being rebels and doing our own things....lol I don't think their teachers will mind.

I found todays gift idea over at Domestically Speaking. It was so easy, I had everything on hand except for the m&m's. I printed the poem out on a white paper then glued it to some fun paper and attached it with some Baker's twine. The top was just some fabric I had on hand cut into a square and twisted on under the lid.

Green is for the inspiration you give me each day.
Blue is for your patience in showing me the way.
Orange is for your warmth and caring style.
Yellow is for the way you always make me smile.
Red is for my life that you have touched this year.
You're a very special teacher just like this jar, that's clear.
You place knowledge in our children's hands
and melt into their hearts and lives forever.
You're a "Magnificent" & "Marvelous" teacher
Thank you for being my M&M.

{teacher appreciation day #4}

Today there teacher's are getting two fun gifts. The first one I found at The Rachel Berry Blog. It originally came from the blog The Domesticated Lady. This is the first time I have heard of this blog and I am now a follower. She has so many good ideas over there. Make sure you check it out.

The second gift came from Eighteen 25. I love her blog too. I am so thankful to all of these blogs for their willingness to share their talents.

{teacher appreciation day #3}

Todays gift was pretty simple. I found this apple paper bag idea over at Skip to My Lou, I love that blog! Anyways back to the gift. I took the bags outside on the grass, stuck a rock in them and painted them with red spray paint about 3/4 high. Inside I stuck a pack of 6 post it notes and 3 pencils tied in ribbon. On each pack of post its I had the girls write something nice to their teachers. They each had to write 6 messages. They wrote things like, "You rock Mrs. Marcano" or "I am so happy you are my teacher." I made a simple tag and some leaves and then tied it to the bag with raffia. Now I have to go and work on tomorrow'a gifts.

{teacher appreciation day #2}

Today's Teacher Appreciation Gift I found over at These are the Days. Every teacher needs pens and when you add a flower it makes a really cute display. I already had the pails so all I needed was the pens, floral tape, beans, and flowers. The tags I already had as well and I just added their Teacher's initial and tied it on with Baker's Twine.
