{boutique pictures}

Boutique pictures at last. I am sure you are wondering why it has taken me so long to post about the boutique. The reason is that I forgot to take pictures. After the boutique was over and I was all finished cleaning up I went to lay down and watch some TV and there it was my camera sitting there right where I left it so that I wouldn't forget to take pictures. Well that didn't work out so well but thank goodness my friend Tasha remembered to take some. She was kind enough to let me use them too.

My friend Angela brought some of her beautiful jewelry.

Keriann made these adorable mummies and Halloween bookmarks.

Tasha made these gorgeous pumpkins. I bought 3 of them :)

My sister Lynda made these sweet nativity's. They are all sold out but if you want a set she will
be bringing more with her when she comes to visit next month.

Kristin made these flower headbands and I purchased my very first one just for me. If you look close you can see part of it on the left side of the picture. Can you guess what color it is?

Keriann made these beautiful quilts and bags. She does custom orders so if you see something you like just let me know.

Tasha made some headbands, clips, necklaces, and her delicious caramels. Her caramels sell out every year.

Kristin made aprons, my Aunt Jill and cousin Brianna made nursing covers, I made clipboards, and the Halloween vinyl signs.

It was such a fun night with lots of wonderful friends. I can't wait to do it again next year. So if you want to participate let me know.
If you would like to purchase anything that you see in any of these pictures just send me an email and I will get you in contact with the right person.

{a banner and some scary girls}

Today my friend Tasha and I got together to make some Halloween crafts. I made this banner as my pictionary gift. I came home and added a few strips of material and now its done. I hope they don't like it so that I can win it back :)

I asked my assistants for some help and when I downloaded the picture they looked a little scary. Thanks Picnik!

{quilt of faith}

My friend Tasha came up with this amazing idea. We have both felt so strongly that we need to help Sara and Bronson but we didn't know exactly what to do. Tasha came up with the idea of making him a quilt. So thats what we are doing.

We can use your help. If you or anyone you know would like to be part of this amazing project we are collecting 8x8 inch squares of fabric. We would like the fabric to be bright colors, red, blue, orange, yellow, ect.

Depending on the amount of fabric we get we might have to cut them smaller so that we can sew everyone's piece on.

We would like to have the pieces on or before February 16th. We want to get this to them quickly.

If you have any questions or need my address please feel free to email me lettibyrd@aol.com or Tasha raegirl25@yahoo.com
PS Bronson is awake and moving around. Prayers are being answered. Read the most recent update here.

{my first project}

This past weekend was so fun and I feel like I got so much accomplished. My cousin Jill came down for a visit and we sewed, sewed, and sewed. We made these burp cloths for me and for baby shower gifts. We used towels that we cut up and then we made binding out of fabric. It was fun going to the fabric store to pick out fabric that would go with our towel colors. In the end each towel made 12 burp cloths so we had enough to make 90 of them. I hope I have plenty of baby showers to attend.
Many of the fabrics that we choose went with more than one of the towels so it was fun seeing how different they all could be.
So those of you looking at my blog that are having babies no peeking.
This is all of our towels after they were cut and before we put the binding on them. They also made a big mess we had pieces of terry cloth all over the house and ourselves. I am still cleaning it up and its been 5 days.

{not so bad If I do say so}

Do you ever feel like when you look around at the end of the day you have gotten nothing accomplished that you set out to do? Well tonight I felt like that. I started out this morning working on my talk and then I found myself taking breaks (lots of them) and somehow my mouse always ended up on my blog or someone else's blog. I hate it when it does that...lol So Darian called me and asked if I wanted to go to dinner with a coworker I of course agreed but at the same time I just wasn't feeling up to it. I also had a baby shower for a lady in my ward that I needed to go to to and again I just wasn't feeling up to it. I decided to do what I love organize. I bought a shoe holder at walmart hung it on the back of the girls door and sorted all of their ribbons and bows. I also bought a tackle box and separated all of their rubber bands into colors (just after doing so Cole decided to dump them out and I had to start all over again but I made him help me and believe or not he helped me put the right colors where they went) By this time it was 2:30 and I still needed to make some baby shower gifts (this was my first time doing this and I had no back up plan if I failed) I went to my moms and it only took a little over an hour and this is what I did. I think they came out very cute. There are a few thread problems if you look close but not bad for my first time. My friend loved them.

I ran home showered and went to dinner which ended up being very nice and then I ran to the baby shower. When I got home the house was all picked up. (have I told you how great my dh is?) So even though it feels like I did a lot if you looked at my house before we left for dinner you would never know it.

{my first sewing project}

Yesterday my mom helped me with my first official sewing project. I took some sewing classes in school but this was my first project since. I sewed 3 skirts, one for Chloe, Kaidee, and my niece Kodi. It was fun and not too hard. I can't wait to sew some more but first I need my own sewing machine.

Can you find the "Hidden Mickey"?
