{Colorado day 3}

Today was a busy fun day.  Beki, Adam, and Bo went on a class 5 rafting trip so Uncle Mike took us along the river to follow them.  A class 5 is the highest rated river with more rapids and a faster speed.  We stopped and waiting at the first stop.  While we were waiting along the river this lady showed up and held up her badge to me and said I need to talk to all of you.  She was a sheriff that was watching someones home and we were sitting on private property.  We moved the kids and away from the river and waited the rafters.

The views here in Colorado are so beautiful.  Livee and Kaidee were standing in front of the river, but you couldn't see it here.
Uncle Mike drove us all around in his little bus.
This was our first waiting stop.  You can see what was left over from the original bridge.  There were so many old things to look at.  It was so interesting.
Cale enjoyed throwing rocks into the river.
Here they come.
High five they made it through the rapids.
Isn't the river beautiful.
Here we were standing on the bridge watching them go by.
On some of the stops we stayed on the bus to watch.

Bo got to ride the bull towards the end of their run and just when he thought it was safe...
 they hit a rapid and...
Bo went down.
Along the river we went through these cool tunnels.  I'm pretty sure I heard these tunnels were originally for a train track but now it is a road.
After that we went back to the resort and took the kids swimming.  This pool had a water slide and a small lazy river. Chloe and Darian.
Neil and Cole.
Bo showing off with Andee.
Kaidee
Aunt Holly and Gracie
Uncle Mike and Kaidee
Heres a picture of the pool and water slide.
After the pool we went ten miles up the road to a ghost town called St. Elmo.  Here you can see old buildings and feed chipmunks.
Cole was so excited as well as all the kids.
You could buy a bag of food for .50.  When you held out your hand they would run up to you.  They were all different sizes.

Neil
Someone put seeds on Uncle Mikes back.
Lynda fed them too.
Soon the kids were laying in all different positions.  Cole liked laying down.
Cody loved the chipmunks.  He kept trying to catch them with his hat.  One time a chipmunk took off with his hat.
A few prairie dogs would come over for food as well.  This one let Cody pet him.
I even fed a few too.  I was nervous that they would bite but they didn't.
After feeding the chipmunks we took a walk around the town.  We found this building first hidden behind some trees and bushes.  I'm not sure why the door is so small except that maybe it sunk down into the ground.
This was inside the school house.

We even saw a deer.
The courthouse/jail.
This was the general store and the family that ran it lived in the house on the left.
This was an old wagon that they used in the snow.
An old house.
Jill standing in front of one of the old homes.

Ryanna, Lynda, and I.
Another old building.
On the side of the building they made a wall of license plates.

The old school house.
This was what was left over from an old house that had burned down.  The only thing left was an old stove and a few other metal things.  I can't wait to visit this town again.
