{Terrace View Trot}

Last week my girls school held their first annual "trot" our walk-a-thon. It was a hot day of course but other than the heat it was great. The school decided to do this instead of the kids having to sell things from a company because we only make a %. We won't know exactly what we made until October 11 when all of the money is due. I am curious to see how well we did.

The "trot" was held after school on a minimum day so that it didn't disrupt class time. Each grade was in charge of selling different things like water, snow comes, silly bandz, nachos, water toss, licorice, lemonade, and cotton candy. This way the individual grades were earning money for things as well.

The kids were divided up into grade levels so K-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th and 6th each had their own walking path. At each path their were volunteers squirting water bottles on kids and marking their lap cards for each lap they walked. We also had several parents and friends come to walk along with the kids and give support.

It was a fun day and I hope that we did well enough to help out our school with the recent budget cuts.
